I heard thru the grape vine but not sure if its thru that you will no longer be able to put V8 engines in LC or LJ toranas after june unless it is already engineered and registerd with that engine. Has anyone heard about these rules and what other regulation are going to happens?
Havent you learnt anything from that guy that gives sermons at church?...Captain whats his name.

Ive heard the same kind of thing through the grape vine as well, apparently it will be a lot more strict with mods that can be approved. Ill be getting all mine done soon even if the car isnt on the road yet.

try checking out your local rta website, there should be info on there about proposed rule changes

yep, its true. these changes are going to be gradually phased in over the next few months/years starting with WA, and gradually working their way towards the eastern states, making each state inline with each other.

Oh man, and how will they try and justify this? Answer, they cant. I really hope its rumour, because if its true, well, i just dont know.
These vehicles arent highly represented in fatalities, or accidents in general. Theyre not inherantly dangerous. The

Hope the day never comes when they refuse to register modified cars. Apparently there was a news item last week about a government plan to buy back so called old cars and crush them, hope that never happens either. 1984 was 25 years ago, but we seem to be

Ive been hearing this exact rumour for the last 4years.... every june/july its supposed to be coming in.

Yes there are already laws in place limiting the cubes or power/weight ratio you can build a car up to as compared to stock form BUT then I go read

cant put a 502 in a hq in victoria as it exceeds capacity/weight for a monocoque and its been that way a fair while.

I doubt any of the so called "engineered" cars in street machine are actually legal, I cant even get a turbo 304 reg.d in a hj sedan, a

we have a fully regoed HQ coupe with 502, in Vic, was passed no drama at all.
another friend of mine has 308 turbo HQ, also rego here, which engineer you using??
Most of the cars that are not legal are ridiculusy modified, things like no wipers etc, but
