howdy! im new to this forum.

i am chasing a bit of info that seems a bit elusive.

i am helping a mate with a budget drag car, and i want to know if a torque converter from a ford cortina or escort 4 cyl (believed to be b/w35??) will slip into a borg warner 40 from an xe falcon. and obviously if it bolts up to the falcon flexplate etc...

same idea as using a holden gemini converter in a 6 cyl trimatic as a budget hi stall for a red/blue 6.

has anyone done this, or know someone who has?? info is hard to come by as most people never use a hi stall in a bw 35/40 for obvious reasons - theyre not a performance transmission!

appreciate any leads.

regards ben
