New HQ-WB discs are about $100 each plus wheel bearings. Will go straight onto your stubs if they are already discs. Just need HQ-WB calipers and hoses, get rebuilt and away you go.
Note, if you are not experienced with this stuff get a machanic to do it

why? you end up with odd wheel stud patterns on front and rear and the performance is not that different between the hq and hg.

Dont forget that Commodore and HQ stud patterns are different as well.

If youre not 100% sure of what you are doing just be a tiny bit careful as well. Although its simply a caliper swap, you need to make sure the brake lines are clear of moving suspen

Another option to consider, to align the front & rear stud pattern, is to purchase new front HQ disc rotors with no stud pattern drilled, i.e. blank rotors. Take these to a reputable machine shop & have the stud pattern that you require drilled & get them

the VN is a couple of inches wider than the HG (not sure exactly how much) so you will have to watch the offset of the rims or you will be widening the track and that is a licencing no no if more than 1 inch each side.
also will the rears will be disks

Hand brake cables can be made to suit, a friend of mine has stock for EH with Commodore rear disc brakes. I assume that the process to make one for your application is the same, dimensions different though. Email me if you need to contact him. jmb64@optus
