Was the "Turbo 400" fitted standard on "77" statesmans.

a 77 statesman with a 308 could of had a turbo 400, the turbo 400 started being used in the hj behind the 308 engines
colby, a turbo 400 is a automatic gearbox
if it wasnt for the last minute id get nothing done

Yes. Standard box behind 308 from HJ to the end of 1978 (or thereabouts).

Were they the standard box from HJs? I always thought my HJ Statesman had a Turbo 350 but Ive never really looked closely at the box to be honest.

TH350 didnt arrive until 1979. TH400 was fitted from 1971 behind 350 and then 1974 behind 308.
