Just about to change the red 186 I have to a trimatic, and was wondering if there is a difference in spigot bush from manual transmissions to Trimatic?

Also where can I buy a spigot bush from as mine was a CRS one that I have removed (way to small - it was for a toyota conversion) are they still available new?
Cheers
Matt

take the spigot out and just run the Auto without one.

Hang onto the Toyota spigot, someone on here will need it sooner or later i am sure.

No I mean does the Trimatic actually have spigot bush in the crank. The torque converter bolts to the flex plate and they all turn with the crank, so there is no bushing needed unless it is for centring purposes! Or does the torque converter have the same

From memory there is a little spigot that goes in the end of the crank for a 6cyl Trimatic. V8s dont have one.

Locator, that is the name. I do remember now. I had to remove the CRS spigot, which I gave to a mate, and the locator was supplied by the engine builder.

several years since I did my manual to auto but I am pretty sure I had to leave the spigot bush out.

I can clearly remember removing it with globs of grease everywhere.
