I know the return of the Camaro is nothing new, but I was swept over with Aussie pride on the sight of rows of new Camaros sitting at a GM dealer in the US today, still a couple of weeks until the official release date. Its a sharp looking machine and developed by Holden on the back of the V2 Monaro success......so I couldn't help thinking Camaro on the outside but Monaro on the inside. So why the hell did we let the yanks have it while we miss out, and believe me we are missing out....it would have made an awesome Monaro.

If you read the latest Wheels or Motor (I read it on the plane back from Adelaide after Easter) the RHD design is complete, but in the current world economic downturn GM dont have the funds or possibly the right (in their possible creditors eyes) to spend

I saw one of these a few weeks ago when visiting Melbourne. I managed to box it in in the traffic so it had to go around me, thus getting to look at all sides. Silly me never bothered to see where the driver was sitting.

Holden have one down at the Lang Lang proving grounds.
We saw it when the Vic Monaro Club went down for a visit.
Check out the website for the pics of it.

You just have to live in the US and own it for 12 months to get it converted over here without having to pay the huge RAWS fee for conversion.
