Hey everyone,

I fitted a new rare spares door rubber to the passenger side front of my XY.

I have covered it in rubber magic and it has sat now for almost 3 weeks, I have opened and closed it a few times checking on it but it is as stubborn as when I first put in on.

The rubber magic seems to have helped but only just, I still need to slam the hell out of the door to shut it.

the door rubber from rare spares seems to be a copy of the orignal ford tube style.

Are these repo door rubbers garbage ? or will it take more time to bed in ? you can see the bottom corner of the door underneath the handle buldging out, there is a lot of pressure on the door.

any help would be great,

Cheers guys.

Thanks for the advice Keith, I had considered that but I really didn't want to go screwing around with the doors themselves, but I'm glad I did, I moved the striker out a little bit and it has helped a lot.

I dont need to smash the door closed anymore

Re your question,,,I am really struggling to open the door from the inside, could this be because the rod is bent ? I really need to squeeze the handle due to the pressure of opening the door?
