Hi just looking at the AFD heads alloy 2v bare for $1490.00 the add says they are flowed to 620hp from factory just wondering if anyone knows if they are good or cheapy thanks.

Thanks alot for that guys. You know you hear so much crap about whats good and whats bad I've had one bloke tell me that chi heads arn't fully developed yet and this guy is a major retailer. I'm so confusion

My Brother has a pair of CHI 3V's atop his 378 cubic inch Cleveland running straight LPG through twin Gas Research mixers. It goes hard and he loves the heads.

I run a set of AFD 2V alloys on my LTD. Heads are 54cc chamber, as cast (no porting), 4V size valves. Car has run 10.99 @122 mph. Although, i think whether you choose CHI or AFD is pretty much personal preference, as both manufacturers offer heads with |

Yeah the I think that he is trying to push a particular head but what do you do. I have to look at all the options around me and wieght it all up I really wanted to do a budget reliable motor but I everytime I talk to someone the price keeps going up. I

Pavtek do alloy heads too but as they are called "3V" they might be re packaged CHI's I suppose you could ask them. http://www.pavtek.com.au...k=view&id=112&Itemid=33

There has been a lot of discussion on the AFD heads on AFF lately. "Apparently", the latest batch has some questionable workmanship? Might pay to have a read and further investigate. I too, have a set of AFD heads, but they are a few years old, No probs

just started looking again and got quotes for afd heads bare $1800.00 , complete 90% $2500.00 and that means that you have to put it together with some machining or something like that....
