So im in need of a saginaw into hk. Ive come accross a saginaw into htg with 253 308. Mines a 307 chev. Other then the bellhousing flywheel and shifter mount being different, what else is different. If i have the hk x member for saginaw shifter to mount to can i use the shift rods throwout fork slave cylinder etc.

Fork will be different as HT-HG 253/308 use a rat-trap, so no slave cylinder on these either. From memory the shift rods are different too. Box should be the same, only different boxes were the commercial 6cyl boxes with 2.85:1 1st and the HT-HG 350 boxes were stronger (upgraded bearings).

The shift rods are indeed different between HK and HT/G. They are different lengths and have different bend locations.
