Hi guys and firstly thanks for all the great info ive been given in regards to my 307 build. Ive placed a muncie in my hk and it has the 11 inch bellhousing. Is there any benefits to it. My slave cylinder bracket is on the left hand side and im fine with that. Problem is the slave bracket i got from dellow doesn't line up with the boss on the bellhousing because its 11 inch. Id like to have it bolted up correctly if i can. Question is are there benefits to the 11inch clutch and also can you get a slave bracket for the 11inch bellhousing here in oz? Dont know whether to change bellhousing or bracket at this stage. It was v8 powerglide so i known i need to get a 168 tooth starter if i go 11 inch.

Yes, HT-HG 350 used the LH slave 11" bellhousing, and there was a cast bracket for that application - it looks very different to the RH slave HK example. I found one years ago when John Cain was closing down, he had one as a sample to get them re-made but never got around to it. Very hard to find. |

No chance! I need it for my HK. I'll see if I can find it and get you a photo and cast number.
Make sure your 11" bellhousing fits the Muncie's input shaft cover tightly. Truck bellhousings have a bigger hole and the passenger gearbox won't centre properly. |

The correct HTG 350 manual left hand entry bellhousing is casting number 3899621, for saginaw and 11" clutches. They are available as reproduction and original. The early HT 350 had a fabricated steel slave cylinder bracket, and the later ones, which Byron refers to, were cast. Depending on your skills and patience it wouldn't be difficult to make one of the fabricated types. I believe the 3899621 bellhousing also works for Muncie. The centre hole Byron mentioned locates the input shaft bearing cover, and should be 4-5/8". There are other castings that will work besides the 3899621, but it seems to be the main one used.
