Talking at work today about bad things done to monaros and alot off storys came out so here is my one-
A mates older brother had a HK monaro dont remember what the numbers where but I remember it was red with a 327, what happen?
After a few beers I guess lets try to chop the roof, take 3 inchs out well that did not go so well and the car ended up being stripped and scrapped.

how do i remember it had a 327 because they put that in a 4 door hq that I ended up with a few years later.

The 327 is long gone too many rebuilds ended up with a big hole through the side before you all think what idiots you have to remember this was 15 years ago when you could pick up a HK very very cheap, things that people buy now you would throw away becau

worst i seen would have to be a hq or hj or hx coupe (cant remember) that had had the roof choped off and turned into a convertable. obvious others are all the hks etc that have been turned into and written off dirt curcit cars. there is one hq coupe at

Worst i saw i dunno but i remember a black K-T-G Monaro doing the show curcuit some years back and it had Brougham taillights..YUK !!

The most extrordanary or radical thing i saw was "HUNCHBACK". A Panno and K-T-G monaro combined...Absolutely loved it

worst looking by far would have to be a Hktg monaro from the 80s, that had been redone from memory in dark blue with a HZ stato front, brown shag interior, and flares? im sure theres a pic around somewhere, but its fkn filthy.

I will probably upset some people for saying this but I remember my brother chopping up a HK monaro with a axe and a angle grinder to fit on a six by four trailer to go to the tip.
As AI72QB said 15 to 20 years ago they were worth nothing We paid $50 on

Ive cut up HK Monaro bodies as they were too rusty. Now cars that are 10 times worse pull $20k.

About 15 years ago, back when you could open the Trading post and see three columns of HKTG Monaro’s.
I threw a red HK 307 four speed 10 bolt car in the Albury tip. I thought it was too rusty, only rust from memory was around the fuel tank in the boot. T
