Hi
Im looking at buying another 327 for the HK and have found one but the guy is not sure if its a 327.
The casting number is 3892657 engine number VO2278AD (suffix makes no sense)and double hump 3890462 heads.
any help would be appreciated

It doesn't make sense to me. It is a Van Slyke Road Road Flint V8 plant engine, but it must me something other than 8AD

For 1967 302 and 350 are Camaro only, 302 is Z28 and 350 is SS. So more than likely going to be a 327.

If the 462 heads are original to the block then it is going to be an L30 275hp or L79 325hp, from full size, Nova, Corvette, Chevelle, Corvette etc. The 210hp Camaro engine uses bigger chamber heads, and the rarer 250hp 4BBL engine from full size Chevy or Chevelle uses larger chambers also.

You are going to need to get a picture of the number so it is clearer what the suffix is. Camaro are generally Mx for 1967 model year. Full size and Corvette normally Hx. Chevelle Ex. Nova Zx.
