There would have to be an instrument repairer somewhere near you, I was lucky enough to find a local guy who specialises in VDO but he is about 100k south of Sydney.

He serviced the gauges and I rebuilt the cluster, I bought a set of decals from here to finish the job.

any instrument/guage repairer can sort out yor guages & reco (including repainting guage needles etc.)

but typical of bodgie repro suppliers can only supply HK speedo face plate (with 140mile) & surround border plate.. but they didnt bother to think about the temp, oil, amps & fuel guage face plate!!!!
just like their bodgie (nothing like original)woodgrain panelling, they forgot all about the glovebox insert?? WTF????
surely with tdays technology with scanners etc they could AT LEAST MAKE IT LOOK SOMETHING LIKE ORIGINAL???
just goes to show they know nothing about what these cars ever looked like to supply a COMPLETE KIT!!instead of only half doing itt..

NOS RULES, or even crusty ole s/hand faded discoloured woodgrains at least look & match what they were supposed to be???

might have to look into reproducing a closer copy, as a complete kit i reckon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dug out an old post but rebuilt one of my spare GTS dashes. Stripped it, got all clips and body replated and painted bright white inside, had a local instrument repairer test and clean all mechanisms, needles repainted, Rares speedo face and eGay decals fitted to small gauges, new clear lens fitted and now looks like NOS!!

For those in Brisbane, Otto Instruments on Evans Rd Salisbury are very good at instrument restoration.

Hi all.

I found this guy on Ebay. He does a repro circuit board and it looks good. He is in New Zealand. Saw some good reports on his profile.

I have never had a problem with the circuit board on a HK dash. Had mine in and out about half a dozen times.

Even when I found a new circuit board in the box did not even consider it to be worth grabbing. Wonder what a nos circuit board would be worth?
