Well ended up buying a complete black motor (thanks Dean) can get all the bits off that, it was apparently running well and has been reconditioned at some time. will do up as spare and its the right motor for the model. anyone want a blue 202? Here is a tip for anyone wanting to remove/replace the sensor unit the whole manifold has to be removed, including the carby and exhaust, as there is no way an ordinary 22mm open ender will do the job. you can probably swing the whole lot out of the way without undoing the exhaust pipes.

The other method is to grind a slot up the side of a 22mm socket. You can gently rotate the plastic bit around to the right spot (so the socket hex lines up) and then slip the socket over & undo them that way.
I tried cheap tube spanners, but they aren't strong enough to still hold together with a slot up the side of them. |

Mick that should work fine as well, the sender is not that tight. the cut socket would end up like a oxy sensor socket, will have to see if that fits..

Damn the motor I just bought the sensor has a different size bulb and won't fit in the head. So I still need one. Might just reef the whole lot out, not really needed. Fitted a hei dissy, where is the best place to take the vacuum advance from?
Had the motor running the other day and there is very little oil pressure, the pressure was ok before, thinking the preesure relief spring might be broken, can these be removed while the pump is in situ? I did fit a new filter but the pressure was low with the old filter as well.
thanks
