Jason, when you say "Corvette Style", do you mean the HiPo Corvette rams horns, which were 2-1/2" outlet, or just generic rams horns? The rams horns used on 327 and 350 Chev powered HKTG were the 2" variety, and fit properly only with the addition of the offset engine mount spacers which bias the engine 1/2" towards the passenger side of the car. I don't have the external sizes for the 2-1/2" rams horns to hand, but I assume they are bigger, and think there may be some clearance issues.

i was thinking of going with the rams horns due to clearance issues with my headers so don`t want to end up in the same boat cheers jason

afaik they won't fit, HK-HG need to be canted back on both sides. I believe the only 2.5" ramshorns are the straight down Corvette style. One of the HK ones are common with full size Chevy, from memory it is the LH side (US steering box side) and the other is from some other vehicle (Canadian I think) but I have also heard Jeep mentioned. The part number for the RH HT-HG 350 comes up as some sort of truck too.
I remember someone mentioning once that you can get some sort of abrasive paste injected through them at velocity to open them up to 2.25" or thereabouts. |

Those are the part numbers for HT-HG 350 and the later HK LH one is the same. 307 and earlier HK 327 use 3855163 and 3855164. They are all essentially similar except the 307 and early HK LH one has the alternator mount on them. Yes they are all 2", only the straight down Corvette style are 2.5". The 307 ones aren't hard to find, $25 each at swap meets is about what I normally see them for, especially the LH side one which is common to Chevrolet and also on the Pontiacs we got here with a SBC. The RH one is harder to find as that one is straight down on those cars. If you do manage to find some Tonawanda examples and they are going on a modified car let me know and if you want i'll do you a deal on some McKinnon examples (307). I grab them at $25-$35 whenever I see them but Tonawanda ones are not very common in comparison. One side on HQ 350 is a Ramshorn as well, the other side is a log style. Here is a LH side later type with the alternator up on top of the engine. I can't see a T or the McKinnon square so it might be a Saginaw (Flint) example: http://www.ebay.com.au/i...cfd3:g:-WUAAOSwoBtW3jef
Here is a RH one in Quebec: http://www.ebay.com.au/i...%3D4%26sd%3D381457007521Edited by user Tuesday, 17 May 2016 7:13:21 AM(UTC)
