i have a ej with a grey motor that hasnt been started for 12 years. it was running fine before it was put into storage. what would be the chances of it turning over and starting??

Good, but it depends on how it has been stored and it may not last too long once its going for many reasons.

It would be OK as long as the moisture did not get into the bores. I would get a socket on the crank and bar it over a few times before putting the starter motor into gear. Also some new fuel and dont rev it out until the oil is slightly warm to make su

Best thing that you can do is to remove the spark plugs and spray some WD40 into each hole give it a good liberal spray.

Follow this up with a good squirt of oil.

Leave it to sit at least overnight before turning the engine over with a bar. If

all of the above are very good suggestions, but these engine's don't have a bolt on the crank pulley( Harmonic Balancer ). These are only pressed on and to remove,they require a threaded tool that screws into the balancer( balancer has internal thread ) a
