The photo attached shows the mounting bolts for the vinyl cover boot. There is no fixed nut for the front bolt. Is this how it should be? Would or could this have had a fixed nut once or was it done with a nut bolt and spring washer? Appreciate your replies

Should be four fixed nuts and two screw holes.
Do you like my original black paint, seems a shame to blast it off.

Thanks for the photo. Looks like the bloke that cut your car for this piece to go in was a bit neater with the oxy. After posting this photo last night I remembered that I had cut one of these sections out of a Monaro years ago (don't know if it was a HK) checked it and it only had three nuts on it as well, the missing one in the same place. Cleaned it up and you can see where the nut originally was spotted on.

My HK (186S GTS with power glide) has four tack welded nuts and 2 screw holes.
