In your opinion, what form of Media would you use to Sell a Higher End Scale Australian Car,.. i.e. the L34's,.. XU-1's,.. GTS 327,. 350's,.. uuum ,.. i,. guess some Fords to,.. The HO's,... RPO83's etc 8-)..... ?

Sorry, if this is ,. has been covered,.. I'm just interested, as the market seems to be stimulated atm, first time since GFC, some nice cars have come back into the publics eye again,. of late,.

Listing in Mag's? ,. ie Unique Cars,........ Just Cars magazines.
Car Clubs?, possibly a member of national / state / local club,. i.e. Torana Club of Qld... Word of Mouth.
E-Bay??,... and All the drama's associated,.. i.e. keyboard cowboys,. / experts,.. fake bids,.. time wasters..
Car selling Site??,... i.e. Car sales.com, ,... AMC,.. etc..
Gumtree,.. Cars,.. ??,.. experiences??
Face Book,...??,... Not a member and will never be,..
Forums,.?. such as these, or, marque based,.. very scrutinised , keyboard experts etc,.. public accusations. etc.
Car Shows,.?.. Nationals,.. etc,... Word of Mouth.
Auctions,,. ?,. Use a large auction house ,. i.e.,.. Shannon's..

Just observations... I have seen some dang awful happenings, when people come to sell their Pride n Joy,.. esp,.. over the social media ,. net based sale side / style of things,..

How? and in, What? way would you attempt to make a Sale with current technologies available.??... Safely,.. for both parties during the acquistion ??..

Have You sold anything lately,... do have any experiences to share??,.... Would you sell Rare Parts collected, the same way???

I have to agree with Devo, firstly in that there are plenty of mediums and secondly that I too can recommend Chester.

I was recently involved with Chester in a project he was associated with the Automotive industry. It had nothing to do with selling cars and the only benefit for Chester I could see from it was that he got to network with individuals and companies which would improve his profile into the future. Creating quality long term relationships for his business is sensible and of utmost importance. In that game reputation is everything.

He demonstrated lots of general knowledge, reliability, punctuality and respected confidentiality.

He is deeply passionate about all things automotive. So it is not just his business. It is his life.

I would consider Chester to sell a car in the future.

High end stuff needs to be sold professionally for the best results. you provide all the correct details and any/all provenance you can muster, have the car looking its best, be-it survivor or restored, and communicate exactly your wishes, price, reserve etc. to the selling outfit. I feel that an auction house can usually be relied upon to whip up the desired interest most effectively with their advertising and "glossy" approach to these kinds of sales. The more high end cars at an auction will drag in with it the more potential purchasers which in itself can generate the "frenzy" and excitement of the bidding to a successful outcome. Any less of an approach, to me, will drag in all the wannabe's, wankers and wastes of time. Just an opinion, and only really reserved for the higher end.
