Hi all,

Sorry to talk VN's here (the EJ is finally back to being the weekend cruiser :) ).

I have recently acquired a 1990 VN series 2 - stock. Has done 195,000K. When cold, it can take up to 30 seconds for Reverse to engage from Park. When she is warmed up, no problem.

It has been owned by my Dad since new, full service history. No transmission issues noted during services.

Any chance of a nudge in what direction I should go to fix?

Thanks :)

There used to be a product from stp or redex and wynns..(been a long time)it was for p/steering and auto trans seals that have gone hard.
It was a seal conditioner that "swelled" up the seals that leaked or had trouble sealing.
Try that first,otherwise

Cheers guys for the feedback. Much appreciated. Oil level is fine. I imagine from the 5000km service intervals (!!) that the transmission was looked at. But will certainly replace trans filter & oil. The auto seals comment has me curious (not at all famil
