Hi guys,
i know this has been done over and over in the past no doubt,and ive looked on old discussions and forums but cant quite get all my codes right,can some one please help,bought ute as a WB ute,had 308 when i got it and column shift,and i know it was a 6 cyl factory,
my vin plate reads-
8N80LAZ715487B
from other threads ive managed to get that
8 is GMH(we all know tht)
Z7- is where it was built,Paigewood,Sydney.
15487-Build #,is that right?but im unsure of the rest,
also i have the General motors New zealand tag-
has-M15,,meaning 3 speed column shift.
GV7-3.55:1 rear axle
G80-limited slip
But the ones i dont know are,L14,is that 202 motor?
and bottom right it has 107 and in small numbers under that has 2629958?what are these numbers?
any help would be awesome thanks.

Z715487 is the PSN - plant sequence number. Z is the code for NZ assembly I think.

So the breakup for the VIN is then:

8 = Holden
N = Kingswood
80 = ute
L = 3.3HC
A = 1980 model
Z715487 = PSN
B = WB

Yes, L14 is the high comp 3.3 blue.
M15
