You beat me to it Byron.

I'm not a religious person at all, but I believe that Christmas is a great time to sit back & enjoy the company of your family & friends, reflect on the past year & have a bit of a break to boot.

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to everybody on Fastlane.

... and best wishes for a Happy New Year !!!

At the same time, I will be observing with great interest Donald Trump busy trying to "Make America Great Again" in 2017, whilst one of America's largest corporations in GM will be dismantling its remaining Australian manufacturing facilities.

Boo hoo!

Sad to have seen the end of Holden engine manufacturing in December, but somehow less so to see the end of Cruze production a few months earlier ... and, I'm guessing that the end of the Commodore as we know it (in late 2017 ?) will be something akin to an act of genocide for the true believers.

Yes we live in fear of being outcast in our own nation due to the Political Correct Nazis for saying Marry Christmas Shhh or anything that our new age degenerates may get upset about.

Not to mention the act of as you say of Australian car industry Genocide could maybe as an act of a burnt offering as well to appease the PC lefty's and there lap dogs the far right wing good for nothing traitors.Anxious well I did not wish anything but for them PC mob to be gone, now that would be a bloody good year, as I am a centre Nationalist that's totally opposed to far left and far right wing extremist who keep trying to piss in your ear.
I am glad I'm not self employed anymore f that for a joke, being kicked around like that anymore.
I think Trump may have the balls to turn USA around for the better, it's not that hard it's just sound foundations that come into play, Germanys economy turned around from such profound hopeless, USA or Australia could easy do it if they truly wanted to and it sticks out like dogs balls, that all they are doing is just total crap.

Trump may come out in a year or 2 and say look at this you moronic schmucks I have turn the Nation around and no thanks to all the 3rd rate bastards on TV media who looked down on me as some nobody.OhMyGod
But they have idolised some puppet that no one truly knows where he came from for 8 years or who is dad was or anything truly about his life before he came to office, that's all a mystery, and why the hell is that ? could you ask a person of his type questions like that! that would be considered not politically Correct, but it's full on all open season on good old Trump.

My brother is a detective and he sure never gives up, I can assure you that's a fact and he says things can work in mysterious ways, but to give in, is to justify ignorance.

I know all about cycles and virtue, to be ignorant of such would be folly.

Please don't be insulted Castellan, as being passionate in situations like this can use up a lot of your energy better spent elsewhere...especially with the calibre of our current crop of politicians. Until the worm turns, and we get back to fair dinkum men with backbone and conviction running the show, we will all find ourselves very frustrated. President Trump...love him or hate him... appears to be a man of conviction.
