What is the difference of a standard ford flex plate and say a B&M flex plate ?? I need to buy one.

Not much difference. Some of the B&M, TCI, etc flex plates are SFI rated so will comply with NHRA, IHRA and ANDRA requirements. If its just for a streeter and you're in brissy i have a few good standard ford ones if youre interested.
