Before I go pulling this car apart, thats all I seem to be up to these days is unbolting and bolting back up. What I think has happened though in this car is the ignition key when turned did not return from the start position to the on position and the starter may have remained engaged.
I suspect the starter may need replacing but before I go pulling it out, I don't know what the damage done is other than to say the battery has run flat more than once over night
and needed a good power supply to jump start it to get the starter to engage to crank it over to start.
I was wondering what other cars there are I have to choose from that would have the same sort of starter that would suit
that I can bolt back in.
There are many V6s and most cars have a starter but which I don't know.
Is this issue with the ignition key not returning to the on position when released after starting, uncommon in a car this age. Just thinking
It may be best to sort any issues with the ignition lock if its worn or faulty before trying to sort starter motor issues.

Many thanks for any guidance with this.
Best regards.
Jack
