The 308 is just about to be put on the engine stand. I am going to fabricate a windage tray and crank scraper. How close does the scraper run to the big ends. Also any problems with HT type sumps ie worst than HQ for oil surge? Thanks Rick

I use moroso crank scrapers on my chevs.
They are not exactly finished and you have to grind them to fit each engine, depending on stroke, types of rods etc.
I try to aim for .010"- .015" min clearance.
