I seen a Range Rover back in 1986-7 in Darwin it was called a Schuler FFRR 5000. Info says it had a Brock HDT 5.0L and a Valiant 727 auto behind it Recaro seats etc. I just came across this info on them only 9 were made 177KW and $67000 TO $70000 back in 1985.

I do remember seeing a few with 308 and 304 engines in them, although if I remember properly they all had GM boxes in them, like TH400 etc. They may not have been one of those though. I actually bought a McGee injection system off a guy in Sydney that had a HDT 308 blue engine in a Range Rover, this would have been around 1986. He had a white A9X hatchback too that he stumbled across in a wrecking yard. |

Schuler became Overfinch. They were putting 350 Chevs in them in the UK at that stage. I guess the 308 was easier here. I lived with a bloke in the UK who had an Overfinch Range Rover.
