These just sold on EBay for $15k. Worthless without the right chassis number but doesn’t seem to stop the dodgy brothers of this world.

Here is the auction link and text. Anyone able to attach the photos? Dodgy seller claims to have done full checks, which is impossible without the chassis and/or engine number. Seller “doesn’t think they can be put on a car” yet covers the numbers! There is enough info given in the text to nail the tags if they ever turn up on a car, there won’t be two blue/black Elizabeth GTS327 with x3x-A body and L1x60xx PSN.

Selling a set of what possibly is set of Holden Monaro HK 327 monaro tags, not really a car person but google tells me is from an adelaide built HK 327 in bright blue metallic with black trim. I ran the numbers with a vin check and ppsr and they are not stolen or have finance againsed them. I brought them from a guy who got them from a rusty wreck - not sure where the car is now or have any details of it. I dont think they can be put onto a car so it would suit a collector. Please see pics, what you see is what you get.

This is what the plate says, I haven't included all the numbers.

Big tag:

HK81837-X3X-A

Trim: 1153-10x

Paint: 567-1764

Little tag:

HK81837KL1X60XX

I will not disclose the full numbers in respect to potential buyers and myself. Do not ask. As I said ive run the numbers and there not stolen or have any finance against them.

I am going to go one step further and call them reproduction tags, I can see at least 3 things that say they are not genuine.

You'd pay up to $700, maybe a grand?, to have them framed for the wall or display case but at that price they'll definitely end up on "an all original"
If they're repo I wouldn't like to be around when the guy who paid that type of hard earned finds out. Buyer beware.

Didn’t even think of that Warren, was only focussed on the BS in the auction. Come to think of it I do remember a blue car for sale a year or more ago with black painted fake tags, these might be those tags.

I like how he states he is not really a car person?? then why buy the tags in the first place? and then allegedly ran checks , very much on the nose
