My clock in my Statesman doesn't work. I fiddle with the toggle and it starts up for about 30 seconds and then stops. The car has sat idle for most of its life so I'm wondering if the components are simply dry. Can someone recommend a repairer in Sydney I can take the car to? Thank you

Guessing it’s tuning fork clock like the GTS ones? Does it hum or tick when you start it? It will need new capacitors as a rule of thumb, if it’s a tuning fork/GTS style clock. They dry out and then the clock won’t work. No idea who in Sydney fixes them though sorry. I have got a few GTS clocks working again.

Dunno if this is of use, but I used a quartz conversion kit in my Buick clock. Is your clock American made? Perhaps the same movement will work? If you're interested I can get the maker's details.
