Looking for Monaro HT GTS 350 4 Speed Sydney Build , Body no. 205 to 210. I may have your original motor . The car is suppose to be Vedoro Green . Hoping the car may still exist . Would be nice to reunite the car with its original motor .

Is it a manual or auto engine?

The car may be out there, but probably more chance it was wrecked and the driveline went into a van or ute. Very lucky to find a HT GTS350 manual engine that hasn't been rebuilt and been decked in the process. Most of them were rebuilt in the 70's, although being a later Pagewood build it may have had an engine not from that initial batch.

The motor came out of the car in 1977 , he did a big end then replaced it with a 6 cyl in the original car . Car was then traded in . Motor has been stored in pieces ever since !

The rings being the ones fitted at Tonawana. Most didn't have them when the cars were new.

HT GTS350 was delayed due to manual engines. GMH had to get them rebuilt locally but rings put in were wrong and most died pretty quickly. This is why it is so rare to find an unopened manual HT-HG GTS350 US engine. Plenty of auto and Canadian engines and 327’s.

OK, should be OK then as won't be part of that initial lot of engines.

I knew a fellow 15 years ago with a Vedoro Green in that range. He did not have the original engine but found one that was out by less than a dozen engine numbers.

Not sure what happened to the owner or the car.
