Again not really of interest to the bulk of Australians! You’ll find the odd group here or there that follow Rugby but I actually do not know a single person that does. I know a few that watch Internationals but not the competition you are talking about. I’d even be lucky to name the teams or where they come from! |

I see ! I guess it’s hard to gather interest in teams that constantly get pounded by the kiwis But for what it’s worth the moody strike on the chest was worthy of a yellow card, also at least one of the Waratahs try’s should not have been allowed due to off side play End result is still the same, Crusaders win by 3 Edited by user Wednesday, 16 May 2018 12:53:35 PM(UTC)

They crucified any chance for Super Rugby by not putting it on free to air TV here.
Our kids play for the local rugby club and one of my boys first game was at the SFS as a curtain raiser for a Waratahs home game. They really get behind the juniors and they get the kids from different junior clubs out there before every game. But it’s hard to justify taking them when it’s a 5 hour trip each way and then the Waratahs get flogged every time.
Rugby is a great game and it’s a shame that the powers that be are ruining it.
However, League is rapidly heading towards the game with great TV coverage but no players. Funny old world.

You can only watch rugby on sky here in nz, $95 a month
I think you hit the nail on the head there, certain sports are in the decline simply because it’s not accessible to the masses anymore
Can’t even watch delayed coverage on free to air channels anymore
Greedy greedy sky, and now they have an awful woman commentator for the rugby
I don’t have to like her because she’s a woman, I dislike her because she’s awful to listen too

End result is still the same, Crusaders win by 3 The thing is I wouldn't even know if the Kiwis or Aussies were winning and it would have no impact on whether I'd watch it or not, I simply do not like the game. It is the only sport I know of where you need possession to score points and you give possession away as soon as you get it? I know that is probably a simplistic view of the game, but that is how it looks like to a League, Basketball, Netball, Hockey etc fan. |

It wouldn’t be a pub without gripes! Funny you say that! Over the last few weeks watching the Suncorp Super Netball, they have this idiot bloke commentator that feels the need to call the game on a play by play basis, and it destroys the coverage. He has no idea about the game, the rules or much at all. They used to use former players who only called when there was something worth calling, and let the game speak for itself. Now it is better to watch with the sound turned off. It is something Richie Benaud always used to say, only talk when you have something valuable to add! We used to also go regularly, but never again after a double header in Sydney Superdome last month. Every chance the music blares and this idiot bloke on a microphone talks so loudly over the music and carries on with so much sh!t that you need earmuffs. Kiss Cam. Dance cam. Fuckw!t cam. Good sport ruined for the sake of brain-dead entertainment, and I bet lots of the 15,000 or so people in there weren't watching as it was impossible to even sent a text on your phone or even keep up with the Footy score next door due to all the idiots talking selfies and posting them on Foolbook. |
