Looks like E trim to me so a Kingswood not a GTS.

Thx GM.

Thx Byron. The reason I asked the question is that im having trouble finding any evidence of the Monterey Green colour being afforded to the Kingswood as it looks to me like a Munro colour only?.

Monaro sedan GTS Chestnut trim code would read 39X,39Y

1. Did they ever make mistakes with 80469 cars with regards to the trim designation on the Body plates given the two models running off the same numbers?

2. Given there is a Top - paint number present on the body card would be a direct indication that there is no chance of it being a GTS Monaro and were any of the racing stripe colours ever added to the body plate top code under the paint code?

It’d be infinitely more likely to be a CTV Kingswood than a mistake on a GTS.

TOP colour is the roof never the paint outs. Plus the TRIM line gives you the paint combination of white roof over Monterey green body (1397 I think it is)

Monaro and Kingswood shared in the main the same colours and trim in HQ. It was GTS and LS that had some unique stuff that wasn't available on Monaro/Kingswood. Monterey Green Metallic was available on all Models except Belmont and Torana 1300.
