Anyone ever noticed how incorrect information on this is proliferated over the 'web?
So many sites say HK diffs are 1511mm and HT/G 1536mm, the difference basically being the GMH published track width difference. |

We used to do a lot of rear axle work (shortening, conversions etc) & my recorded diff width, face to face for all HK/T/G is 1537 mm.
This includes the brake drums, which are often left out of the equation.

I’d say people measure HT-HG and then take off the track width difference to arrive at the HK width quoted, forgetting that the difference is in the wheels not the diff. |

Dr Terry I just worked it out from GMH data Terry and it is 60.5" (or 1536.7mm) with drums. Simply add the HK track to 2 x the wheel offset, so 57.12" + 2x1.69" = 60.5". |
