Just a WB Statesman bottom end with VN on EFI heads on it.

I think what HK1837 was getting at was that a normal WB Statesman motor had an 11WT prefix. A WT prefix block would have been out of a 5.0 WB Commercial, which was officially not available.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

I was wondering about the stamping being original.

What do you base that on ? They do exist, but they are rare.

It is a rough stamping but the 5 looks correct.

From a judging point of view if I had to judge this engine if it were fitted to a WB , I would say it is too rough to be stamped by Holden . Just my point of view. Thanks Mark.

A restamp for sure. 5 & 7's are not correct.
Probably been decked and had the original number re-applied.

That was my original thought, but minus the 11 or 12 in front of the WT
