They are only collectors items without the body. I’d have 5-6 sets of HK-HG GTS tags mainly GTS327 or GTS350, not worth anything more than the scrap value of the alloy as the bodies are gone.

I do believe HK1837 has answered your question correctly.

true story ok I would have figured they are worth something but anyway cheers for that little bit of food for thought I guess for myself...

but you say that you have the 327 tags that's pretty cool...

just another question.. you can bring a body back to life with those tags.
if you had a body but no tags dose that sound about right I've had these tags since I was 11 years old my dad had a wrecking yard in Murray Bridge I never really thought about ever selling them

Not really as the chassis number on the body won’t go with the tags, so there is no point using the tags, just leave the body without tags which is fine. It is now a fraud crime in most States of Australia to misrepresent a car as something it is not with tags that don’t belong to the body or at least section of body they came from.
What trim line is on them and what body and assembly plant? Murray Bridge probably Elizabeth plants but maybe not.

I think you will find that you can put them on whatever car you want.
Just be very very careful when you sell the car. You can sell the car yes. Take it to all the car shows, what ever you want. Until someone attempts to register the car using those tags to identify it
It will then become a crime in more ways than one and possibly a very costly one for you at that.
You have attempted to change its identity. My advice would be to display in shed
with a note next to it. These 327 tags belong to me they came my Dads Monaro.
