Hey guys can anyone tell me if the 253 blue motor in an 84 wb ran on unleaded fuel or should I use the additive

You need to convert it to hardened valve seats or use an additive.

304 in VL not 308. They will probably make it very low in compression. VL 304 had big valves in them and the chambers are larger due to valve deshrouding. All they are is basically B cast style heads with no re-facing to bring chambers back in size plus flame hardened seats. By today the seats are probably no longer that hard anyway especially after recutting them, plus you don’t really want big valves on a 253. You’d be far better off with normal 253/304/308 heads with hardened inserts. Or just use additive.
