Is it a Holden, Kingswood or Sandman?

Did any HZ Panel van get a front bar rubber strip?

AKIAK a B06 ambulance pack did, but the Kingswood, Holden & Sandman didn't.

Dr Terry
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

If you scroll down to post 66 in this thread you can see a brand new BO6 cab-chassis albeit a conversion:

https://www.scale4x4rc.o....php?t=76901&page=5

You are right Terry, this is the only instance where a HZ ute, van or cab-chassis gets the bumper bar rubbing strip standard. Which will apply to BO6 on cab chassis (WM60) and Holden van (WM70).

However option VF8 got you the front rubbing strip on 70 or 80 model. Would be extremely rare though as it would mean an ordered vehicle which only a small percentage were.

I didn't read the original post as asking about these though, I thought they meant the side strips. These were standard on HZ Kingwood ute and Kingswood van but were optional on Holden ute and Holden van unless they also had the Sandman package (XU3) applied or the Sandman with passenger tyres applied (XX7). Option code B84, but like VF8 would be very rare to be fitted during assembly as it would be an ordered car. There was a dealer fitted accessory package available but these are obvious when you pull the strips off.

I had an original HZ sandman factory mistral grey, 253 auto, which had rubber side strips instead of stripes.

Dealer fitted or body/assembly plant fitted?
Are you certain it was a Sandman?

I would have said all these bump strips were dealer fitted. And for Hainzy, could have been a delete decal sandman dealer fitted with bump strips. I'm sure I've seen a hz sandman with the same in the past

4.2 auto Sandman is very rare. Most that come past me claiming to be aren’t. I had a HX turn up once. Bucket seats, console shift, sports dash, 1950kg GVW, full length headlining. It had 67V trim so that didn’t give it up. I questioned it due to being a 4.2 auto and absence of courtesy light door switches. Turns out it was a Holden van optioned with XU4, N66 and B30. The only Sandman stuff missing were the Kingswood cosmetics like the chrome and the grille plus the blackouts. It appeared to the untrained eye to be a DL7 L32 M40 optioned HX Sandman.
