Hello GMH gurus, I'm getting a shopping list together of the parts I'm going to require to get a HQ SS back on the road after a long hiatus. I haven't picked up the car as yet or have it in the shed, but wanted to get the parts together asap. On the list is a set of piston seals & dust boots for the front brake calipers. My parts guy has got back to me and asked whether I needed P.B.R. or Girlock kits? I said that he was the parts guru and would have a listing on which is fitted. Says it could be either. So I'm wondering if one or the other was definitely fitted from factory on this model, or if it could be, as he said, either type? Any help appreciated guys, thank you.

Almost always PBR on HQ. I don’t think I have ever seen Girlock on a HQ. It is HJ that normally have Girlock. Dr Terry has probably seen a lot more of these than me so might be able to help more. |

I was just reading some old posts here where Greg and Dr Terry had seen Girlocks on late HQ, but SS are pretty early so my guess is all PBR |
