Hi all,

I am trying to find out what the dealer sticker for Kiama Motors would have looked like for my 12/73 Torana.
The only photo I have managed to find of the dealership in that era is this one:

Does anyone have a photo of the dealer sticker they could share?
Cheers Kev

Thanks I've asked them, they have nothing on file.
Would have been a very small dealership so I don't like my chances

A relative bought a new LJ there in 73. Last name Grady.
They may of moved by then though. The new yard was where the EH is parked.

A good source of dealer logos etc. is a local newspaper of the era. The local Holden dealer would've had many adverts in them.

Local libraries quite often have newspapers on file going back decades.

I did a lot of research for my books at the State Library in Sydney. They have all of the major newspapers on microfiche going back many decades.

You can use a government resource called Trove to view historical newspaper online.

Thanks guys for all the tips.
I've searched on Trove, newest Kiama newspaper is about 1953.
There's no chance of me getting to a NSW library with the Covid situation.
I'll keep searching the internet and see how I go

In the absence of seeing an actual sticker on a car, the best guess at what it would have been must be the signage on the front of the dealership.

You can just imagine the sticker in the same 'bow tie' of the 2 triangles.

If you had one made like that who could say you were wrong?

Thanks Sandaro I was thinking of doing just that.
After a bit more research, i have found that the dealership did move - I even know when, 8 Aug 1970.
I've seen a copy of an invite to the dealership launch at the new location on Ancestry.com
Later address 35-41 Collins St Kiama
