I recently traced my HK origins via AOMC and then Vicroads. Does anyone know if anything similar exists for NSW as I am now trying to trace my HT original NSW registration details. Not the owner details, just the car, I have the original NSW rego number. Thanks, I hope.

Surely thats an easy question for service NSW? Your current rego details would be enough. Im pretty sure that info WONT be free though. Post up the cost details if you find out, I'm sure a few others on this forum would find that info helpful. Good luck!

I did it through NSW RMS years ago, through freedom of information search (GIPA application) - cost $30 from memory, maybe more now.
Wouldn't give any owners details (for privacy reasons). I think it gave me the years it was registered and the suburb/town of ownership. Back then any records pre 1990 were no longer available. Something like that anyway.
I recall speaking with someone in the RMS who said they were destroying all the old records, but saying that I was going off chassis number, maybe different for number plates?
