Hello, How do you identify what model Holden a 3 speed crash gearbox originally comes from? Are there identifying numbers to look for? Many thanks for your anticipated assistance.

Good question. Dr Terry will probably know for sure. I’ve thrown every one that I’ve pulled out of a car in the scrap bin so never had any at hand to compare! |

AFAIK the late EH to HK box was basically the same thru those model series, except for changes to the linkage levers.
The big change was from the EJ & early EH 149 to the lateR one.
The earlier box only had 4 bolts securing it to the bell-housing, the later one had 5 bolts.
