Looking at a HQ van, seems the tags have been removed and only the vin tag remains 8M70DDL265741Q though not currently attached to the vehicle. The bodyshell # has been identified as an April 1974 build informally and the VIN sequence a March 1974 build informally by HHS. So a body swap has been done at some stage (or wrong tag?).
So I guess my question is how much does this affect re sale as a basic HQ van? Given that registration only needs an engine number and a chassis number? I would really like the brains trust comments and thoughts......

Harder to sell without tags so pay far less to buy in the first place. Simple. Don’t overcapitalise! |

Just eliminates some buyers. You will get what someone is willing to pay for it. If it’s straight and rust free the tags won’t worry some of people. Edited by user Wednesday, 12 May 2021 5:51:09 PM(UTC)
