The only head numbers I have for 173 engines are 2811929 for HG/HQ/HJ/LJ/LH/LX (pre-ADR27A) & 2815843 for the ADR27A Red Motors. Lo-Comp motors just use the equivalent 202 head.
I'm not sure about the 173 Blue Motor head, the only number I have is 92013755, but it is unconfirmed.

There should be two 173 blue heads, early and the later one with the air pump. Unless the early one had the bosses there undrilled? |

There's probably more than that, due to the different A/C compressor mounts in that era. Also from memory there were 2 different locations for the temperature sender. Again they could be the same casting, but differently machined. Dr Terry |

Parts catalogues list part numbers, not casting numbers. They are rarely the same thing. However my LC parts catalogue lists the correct casting numbers as part numbers for the bare heads for 2850 and CB/CC prefix 2250, ie 2811929 and 2811930. However the part numbers listed for the 2250L/2250H and 2600L/2600H are different to the casting numbers, ie 7438300 and 7438299. |

I have 2 numbers and cannot ascertain which is correct, this also clouded by 173/2850 engines being fitted to VK (for special govt and export orders) |
