hi guys

i have a friend with a HX one tonner that has a different to usual front on it..

instead of the usual commercial bumper front (big flat bumper) it has a kingswood bumper.
it also doesnt have the round lights between the headlights and the grill, instead it has some orange lights behind the grill mounted on flexible couplings (i think)..

he beleives it was ordered as a factory "kingswood" one tonner ...
anyone else seen such a thing? even on a regular Hq/j/x/z??

i would like to attach an image but i dont know how and my googling has failed to find a similar one tonner..

thanks

GMH never built a Kingswood cab-chassis. They were all simply a Holden cab-chassis. Apart from HJ-HZ Ambulance pack cab-chassis, all HQ-HZ cab chassis used the same front, only variation was the appearance pack which had a chrome bar and grille rather than painted. If it has no Hella blinkers between the grille and the headlights it has had a HQ Belmont/Kingswood/Monaro/GTS nose and bar fitted.

Ambulance pack HJ-HZ had a HJ-HZ Premier nose, guards and bonnet fitted plus had the HJ-HZ plenum as well to match the bonnet. These also had a HJ-HZ front bar in chrome.

it does have a chrome comercial grill..

i have not heard of the appearance pack..and yes its entirely possible it had a new front put on it.. maybe these lights are an aftermarket addition by a previous owner..

the ute does have the inflatable bolster on the bench seat as well as a clock and oil pressure gauge (options?)

That has been changed. Either the blinker holes welded up and HQ bar added OR it’s had a HQ nose added with cab chassis grille and HOLDEN letters added.
