You will never find anything sensible on Facebook, it is a haven for idiots and morons!

19W in black vinyl bench seat.
GM9 is 4.44:1 rear axle.

1890 is Mandarin red paint as you stated. 568-15953 is the refinish paint line and paint colour for Mandarin red in Dylan acrylic air dry.

You won’t find any such info online. Only off original GMH documentation like colour/trim albums, dealer order procedures etc. And then you have to piece it all together from the combination of that and collecting ID off 1000’s of cars.

That's a bit harsh to suggest that Facebook is a Haven for Idiots and Morons. Post # 2. I've been watching Fastlane for many years and Yes there is an enormous amount of experience and knowledge and the resources being contributed and many just their bit and most only too pleased to share it and some nice cars being built as a result but, at the same time it cannot denied that there are a lot of fine examples out there, cars being built by people that don't know what goes on here at fastlane or maybe even heard of fastlane and to be serious you must admit that many of those cars we would'nt mind them parked in our shed and would love to claim the knowledge and skills our own that were used to build them. From the Nut and Bolt restorations to the radical custom and the ones that have been laying around with hardly a spanner being near them, There is vast amount experience and knowledge with talented and resourceful people building beautiful cars, sharing knowledge, skills and
their resources with one another on Facebook. To SAY a throw away line like. You will never find anything sensible on Facebook, it is a Haven for Idiots and Morons!. To say it, is one thing but, to WRITE it here on the Forum, well that's another. I'd say there are Many Visitors that come here to Fastlane with much regard for the regular contributors and to have those sort of lines thrown around, well I began by saying a Bit Harsh, some might say offensive others would say contemptuous. None really helps. Well I'm not really sure if this is a statement or just a point of view maybe constructive criticism. When all we really wanted to do is enjoy our cars. Meanwhile I'll still visit here and continue to enjoy my Monaro.

The trouble with Facebook is there is not enough control over comments, which are seen as fact.
It also is a poor platform as posts disappear quickly and therefore it’s a poor reference tool.
Sadly it has robbed forums such as this of traffic and contributers. You need people asking questions for a forum to function.
However, no internet platform is of any long term benefit. As they close down the information just disappears. This one will be no different as the moderators get sick of it and move on. My sandman is a classic case in point. It is dying a painful death after it was sold to a club that puts no effort into it.
