Did the sports wheel center cap change from "Short Tail " to "Long tail " at series 2 (1973 facelift) ? Thanks Mark. |

I think that's correct. AFAIK the long tailed lion first appeared on LH Torana in March 1974 & on the big Holdens in HJ (Nov 1975).

Thanks for the answers, it is strange that Holden changed the advertising logo for HQ with the new Long tail lion , but kept the old logo on the badges as Dr Terry said changed at March 1974 LH and ( November 1974 not 1975) HJ. |

Yeah 1974 it is (fat fingers !)
Yes but why change the logo mid-model. If they just changed the lion logo on the centre caps on the HQ, then it wouldn't match the logo in the grille & other places on the car. It was better to change all the logos on the car at the same time.
