Hi, a lot of the instruments in the dash of my 1988 holden astra are stuffed. The speedo doesn't work, neither does the odometre, fuel gauge works every now and then and the temp gauge hasn't worked for god knows how long. I was fiddling around with the dash not too long ago coz some lights werent working, taped the wires up and sorta bent them in place and they all work now. I was wondering if it was the same bunch of wires that works the gauges? If I had these wires replaced would everything work like new again?

I was also wondering which car would have a similar dash that would suit my car, other than another holden astra of course. Just seeing what my options are at the moment.

Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers. Deanos.

Thanks mate. Yeah I found out the the LD astra is the same model as the n13 pulsar. So obviously that's one answer. But are there any other cars, someone was rattling off something about the VL, same era and that, but not sure if the dash would fit.

I have a complete dash out of a 88-89 Pulsar, they are a little different to the Astra but this is the GT or sometging dash has the tacho etc, as far as I can see it bolts straight in and I did cut the connectors off the main loom in case they were needed
