When did the HQ,HJ,HX,HZ firewall looms plug/grommet change from square block to grommet?
I always thought the rubber grommet setup coincided with the indicator/wiper set up in HX onwards.
Just a general question as I hear some people say late HJ

Correct, HQ & HJ got the square connector block & HX, HZ & WB got the grommet.

All the answers above is what I gave on FB group and got corrected by newby/"experts" saying late HJ.
Having owned HJ's since early the 80's to now, I've never seen any HJ with the grommet, so I just gave up correcting them.

It’s Facebook. IQ cannot be guaranteed.
It is possible GMH tried it on a few HJ but I doubt it. They were building pilot HX early in 1976 so they could have tried it then. |
