Hi all,

Im new to this forum so please be nice :)

I bought a Holden Calais 2005 last week. The car was purchased brand new by steel company. I'd contacted the seller prior to buying the car and he said it has never been in an accident.

The car comes with the service book and runs really nice. It has some dents and scratches, but that's what you get for buying a second hand car.

I got my car hand washed today and the guy at the car wash asked me if the car was a damaged and been repaired, so I said no.

He showed me that the bonnet has two different colours (one of them is washed out). The image below shows what I mean. There is a straight line that differentiate the colours. I thought that because the car was parked in a garage where the sun hits only the front of the car (the guy I bought the car from said it has been parked for the past few months).

Now, if the car has been damaged, why would they paint just the front end of the bonnet ?

I'm not a car expert, but I'd love to hear a positive reply. I've been pissed off since I got back from the car wash few hours ago. :(

Thank you all..

P.S. The colour of the car is ODYSSEY (GREY) and the image just showing what I mean.
