Hi all, Just bought a gearbox to put in my Hr and just trying to confirm it's what the seller said.
Described as a Borg Warner 5 speed for 6cyl VK Commodore.
Numbers on bell housing; 0507-212902
Numbers on end housing; 0507-066905 H
Numbers on Tag attached just above gearbox mount; T767-33-001, 0507-065, then 3519 has been stamped.

Hoping someone might be able to help, tried to google but keep coming up blank.

I have no idea about numbers on these as its not something that ever interested me. However those 5spd manuals were available in Commodores in the early to mid 80's, and if it has a Holden bellhousing it is probably one of those boxes. From memory they weren't very strong and were limited to 4cyl and 2850cc engines in VH. Not sure what was done to them to make them stronger to handle the carburetted 3300cc engine in VK. You'll pick the VK box by the hole in the bellhousing for the sensor that reads off the 3 x dowels on the flywheel perimeter for the spark control.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately mine doesn't have the hole in the top of the bell housing.
Can only assume it's not from a VK.
Would really like to know what it is out of.
If anyone else has a magic decoder ring would be great to hear from you.

Try googling "0507 gearbox", usually referred to as M76 in Holdens, also used in Sigmas and 3.3 Falcons. Sounds like that's what it is.
