I’ve purchased a nos switch to install. I can see where the spade terminal connects to the bodyof the switch (white wire)but there’s no terminal for the orange wire. Thinking it may be a male spade terminal that pushes in next to the glove Can anyone confirm? Edited by user Wednesday, 20 December 2023 5:38:59 PM(UTC)

Looks like the white earth wire was soldered on to the light body. Orange wire went to spade terminal. White being earth and orange live. Seems white is the common earth wire on those Holdens. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

So is the orange a male spade terminal? Is there any trick to installing? Does is just push in to the glovebox hole?

I can’t remember how it went in, I did it nearly 25 years ago in mine. I remember it was a bit fiddly. I’ll have a look tomorrow. The wiring will always be female and the light fitting will be male.
