Hi all, Im looking at a crs conversion kit for v8 into eh.

Rails,tunnel, rack and peanut etc.

I know Peter Smol has said on a number of occasions that a competant chassis man can weld up the shell to enable the NON use of the rails, but the word "competant" and "welding" precludes me, and i cant really afford the cash to pay a man to do it for me.

My question is this, has anyone here had experience with these kits? What your thoughts on the quality, and cost effectiveness of these ready built items?

Apart from my lack of welding ability, im quite confident in undertaking the conversion work, just looking for some feedback.

P.s., I know some minor welding may be required, I can have a mate do that, but hes not a chassis guy, and knows little about torsional dynamics of motor vehicles.

Cheers and thanks.

I think so but anyway, I have a Pat Gardiner set up at the moment that I am about to start working with and the plans are to weld in a Mr Blue style chasis. It is a lot more work but a much
